This is the feather of a male mallard drake.
This little work of art, Is Hand embroidered by myself, fine freestyle, using pure silks and threads. The attention to detail is clear and precise, worked on evenweave black cotton.
The Embroidery Card within the mount is the Size of a Standard Trading Card, 2.5 x 3.5 inches , ACEO (Arts Cards, Editions & Originals).
The Decorated mount is a hand painted original by my mother and differs each time depending on the subject matter. TheAceo has been mounted in a cream 2cm mount and will come unframed, initialled in the front and named and dated on the reverse.
At no time has the item been glued, just double sided tape is used to mount the card. However when mounted this ACEO must be considered as permanently mounted as to remove it from its mount can make it difficult to re stretch. If you would like a similar Design I would be happy to do a similar one unmounted to fit your albums.
About the Artist - Alexandra Lobban
I am fascinated by all aspects of nature and it was this that lead me to start fine embroidery five years ago. I love the attention to detail and texture the work can bring, the shine and feel of the Silks and most of all being able to bring back a bit of colour to the long winter nights is what stimulates my work.
